Royal Bank of Scotland - Financial Experience Mechanical Contractors and Engineers

Royal Bank of Scotland, Stamford, CT Harry Grodsky & Co., Inc. recently completed the mechanical and plumbing installations for the Royal Bank of Scotland's new U.S. headquarters in Stamford, CT. The key feature of this 12-story, 1,000,000+ sf advanced facility is the 40,000 sf trading floor, the largest in the world. Mechanical and electrical systems have been designed with many redundancies in mind to ensure continued trading operations, even in emergency conditions. The open, unenclosed building structure during the winter months added many challenges and required unique solutions to maintain the aggressive 18-month project schedule. Storage space onsite and within the building was extremely limited, requiring careful staging of materials. The project's size also demanded unique services to support progress. With numerous design changes and enhancements being implemented by the owner simultaneously with the construction process, Harry Grodsky & Co., Inc. used our extensive resources, supporting the project with over a dozen office staff members from six different departments.
