Building 10 at Boehringer Ingelheim, Ridgefield, CT
Harry Grodsky & Co., Inc. has completed many projects on Boehringer Ingelheim's Danbury/Ridgefield, CT campus. The latest, Building 10, is a 98,000+ sf, four-story reinforced-concrete laboratory office building with connectors to two existing research and development buildings.

Building 10 is conditioned by two 75,000 cfm custom air handling units utilizing chilled water and high temperature hot water fed from the main physical plant located across campus. The rigging of these two small house-sized units proved challenging. The units were split into five sections with each section weighing roughly 15,000 lbs and were successfully rigged through an opening in the side of the building with a total clearance of less than one inch without so much as a scratch!

Harry Grodsky & Co., Inc. was responsible for the mechanical and plumbing systems, and the underground utilities for the project to get chilled water and high temperature hot water from the physical plant across campus.
